Richard Hollingsworth
President/CEO
With over 20 years experience in housing and
economic development, in both the United States and
his native Ireland, Richard’s responsibilities at
CDC have included structuring the organization to
address its program initiatives, securing
partnerships and obtaining funding. He worked to
broaden CDC's activities in the areas of
commercial/industrial assistance and housing
revitalization. Prior to joining Gateway Cities
Partnership, Inc. the parent organization of Gateway
Cities Community Development Corporation he served
in executive capacities with Kaufman and Broad Home
Corporation and in the logistics industry. Since
1998 he has been CEO of Gateway Cities Partnership
Inc.
Suleyma G. Rosales,
Financial Manager
Ms. Rosales, accountant and financial manager for
Gateway Cities Community Development Corporation has
worked in the non-profit sector since 2000. She
began her career in development at the I Have A
Dream Foundation- Los Angeles responsible for grant
writing, fundraising, event planning and program
budgeting. She earned her degree from California
State University, Dominguez Hills in Financial
Management.
Bruce Dobb
Senior Loan Consultant
Bruce started a career in economic development in
the late 1960’s. He spent 15 years in Washington
D.C. working with federal incentive programs ranging
from CETA to FHA mortgage guarantees to Small
Business Investment Company venture capital funding.
He has a securities license and a MBA in finance.
His combination of private sector financing skills
and public sector knowledge make him uniquely suited
to head up a public/private initiative such as those
at Gateway Cities. Bruce served as the Chief Credit
Officer for LA’s largest small businesses revolving
loan program (at the Valley Economic Development
Center) and was the first Executive Director of the
Los Angeles Harbor-Watts Economic Development
Corporation. During the last two years Mr.. Dobb has
pioneered the area of worker/management buy-outs for
existing manufacturing companies in distressed
communities.
Mike
Fernandez
Project Coordinator
Mike is responsible for developing and completing
projects for the CDC. Mike has previously served as
a research fellow for the University of Southern
California Center for Economic Development as well
as Southern California Association of Non-Profit
Housing. He recently earned his master's degree from
the University of Southern California in Public
Policy.
