The Gateway Cities Community
Development Corporation is involved in developing
both residential and industrial projects within the
Gateway Cities Economic Zone.
Residential Projects
Rapidly increasing home prices
have priced our workforce out of their
neighborhoods. In response, the GCCDC has
acquired projects to provide homeownership
opportunities. These projects are eligible for
the Home
Purchase Program. Keeping professionals
closer to their places of employment improves their
performance and enhances overall productivity.
Furthermore, keeping professionals within the
community provides accessible, positive role models
for our younger generations.
Industrial Projects
Southern California has
experienced significant loss of industrial land as
it is converted to lofts and other uses. Lost
are the critical employment opportunities for
workers who have developed skills outside of the
classroom. Further, the industrial environment
has changed significantly so that the aging stock is
no longer appropriate for modern uses. GCCDC's
role is to develop these spaces largely for small
business and entrepreneurs to reinvigorate this
critical part of the Southern California economy.
